About

Welcome to the internet’s favourite British sitcom discussion podcast! Launched in April 2013, hosts Mooncat and Ocho debate all manner of issues relating to situation comedy, mostly from the 20th Century.

As well as your regular hosts, there are contributions from Sitcom Club members Boggenstrovia, Dr Christian Troy, Gee Baker and Birdie.

The show has an archive of over sixty Sitcom Club podcasts as well a selection of non-sitcom discussions from our Summer Spin-Off series and our new monthly podcast Jaffa Cakes For Proust, which will bring the Sitcom Club conversation style to various aspects of TV, films and popular culture.

    Hi
I recently learnt about podcasts and have been listening to quite a few while out trying to get fit .. 10,000 steps a day (as a minimum)
As a sitcom fan this has been one of my favourites. Furthermore I like Still Game so was glad to see that was how you started the series.
I listened to 1 – 66 in order, but recently have been just selecting an episode at random. I listened today to number 84 (USA Sitcoms)
Reminds me .. I worked in South Africa in the 80s and 90s and found the TV pretty poor. I was never a fan of US sitcoms, but at the time I didn’t really have a choice. Threes Company and the Ropers which you often mention were popular and I actually preferred them to their UK equivalents.
I also watched .. WKRP in Cincinnati, Growing Pains, Family matters and The Facts of Life. All were OK .. Have you seen any of these ?
A couple of years ago, here in the UK I watched Hapily Divorced, with Fran Drescher, which was also pretty funny. Again, have you seen this ?
Finally my award for the worst sitcom ever .. Maud (another USA one)
